About Me

Social Worker | Drama Therapist | Expressive Arts and Group Process

I am a social worker and drama therapist specializing in therapeutic group facilitation and the integration of expressive arts within clinical and community mental health settings. I work with individuals and groups to explore experience, challenge entrenched narratives, and develop new ways of understanding themselves and their relationships.

I work across complex systems including residential treatment, veterans’ services, and community mental health. My work includes facilitating expressive arts groups for veterans through the UCLA/VA Veteran Family Wellbeing Center in collaboration with the UCLA Arts & Healing Initiative. I also support youth involved in foster care and juvenile justice systems in residential treatment and facilitate peer support groups focused on maternal mental health.

My clinical style combines logical analysis with creative and experiential methods, helping individuals and groups examine patterns, reframe difficult experiences, and expand perspective. I often approach therapeutic work through a theatrical lens, similar to a director examining a scene—observing roles, relationships, and narrative structure to explore new possibilities for change. I am particularly comfortable working with trauma, resistance, and complex emotional dynamics.

Neurodiversity is a central interest in my work. I value approaches that recognize different cognitive styles, learning processes, and ways of engaging with the world, and I strive to create therapeutic environments where varied forms of communication, perception, and problem-solving are respected.

My practice is grounded in trauma-informed, strength-based social work and integrates Drama Therapy and expressive arts approaches with modalities including DBT, CBT, Narrative Therapy, Narradrama, and Role Theory.
